Vanover & Murphy & Page kid sorting out help

Original Facebook post: Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 10:37pm.

Trying to get notes right on three sets of kids.  If you have tips or insight, it would be appreciated by cousins near & far who are linked with us all.
These are notes I have from various visits with my Granny Zettie Walker "Tudy" (Johnson) Bates.
Andrew William Vanover b Sep 1838 and died in Letcher Co KY
s/o William Vanover & Sarah Perry (both from NC)
First marriage of A. W. Vanover to Nancy or Peggy Murphy
Second marriage of A. W. Vanover to Mary Page (married 6 Feb 1888, Letcher Co KY) (died/buried Letcher Co KY)
Mary Page was previously married -her maiden name and name of her husband I don't have handy in my notes I am quickly looking at.
Children of A. W. Vanover and Nancy or Peggy Murphy
Henry Vanover married a Murphy (children Oscar Vanover, Myrtle Vanover) then to Sarah Fox (who after Henry died, she married a Caudill)(children Willard Vanover, Aleen Vanover, Harvey Vanover, Katie Vanover).

Rhody Vanover had son Levi Page the son of Melvin Page (I don't have notes if they were married or circumstances of their relationship) married Bill Maxie (children Ida Maxie who married a Stallard, and Garr Maxie).
Margaret "Mary Alice" "Babe" Vanover married Joseph Bates (my maternal ancestor)
Ethie Vanover married Jessie Mahall
Luize Vanover married an Ison/Isom then to Hiram Mitchell (there are various accountings as to why, but Nancy/Peggy was to an asylum for awhile and Luize was sent to a Caudill in Roxana, Letcher Co KY and raised as a child.) (Luize's children with Isom are Blancey Isom and Merlin Isom) (August 1920, Luize's sister Mary Alice heard where Luize was living at and went to visit her after a long time apart, in Letcher Co). Buried at Roxana, Letcher Co KY.

“Letcher county suffered much during the Civil War.  Most of the men were gone.  Bands of guerrillas raided the countryside, carrying off all the food they could carry and performing many unprintable acts on the people.  They also burned the county court house to the ground, destroying all the old county records.”
“All the Confederate Veterans listed in this book were members of “The Orphan Brigade”.  Originally, there were 4,000 soldiers in this group.  Only about 500 of these survived to the War’s end.  They were one of the last Confederate groups East of the Mississippi to lay down their arms.  They distinguished themselves by showing to their superiors discipline, morale and effective military tactics.  The Orphan Brigade surrendered at Washington Courthouse, Georgia in May 1865.”
